Have you ever had a student-athlete come home following a practice with an injury or maybe some delayed swelling of a joint?
You ask yourself: where do I go and what are my options?
The Training Room at Piedmont Orthopaedic Complex, a free walk-in clinic managed by experienced sports medicine specialists, was established to give student-athletes the opportunity to be evaluated the very next morning.
Monday thru Friday from 8:30 a.m. -12:00 p.m., ANY athlete may walk into the Training Room at Piedmont and receive a free evaluation by a certified and licensed athletic trainer (ATC). Should the ATC or the parent feel that further studies are necessary, the athlete can be scheduled for X-rays and to see a physician, many times that same day. The initial evaluation is free of charge and no appointment is necessary.
The Training Room is also open on Saturdays during football season from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Piedmont Orthopedic Complex and Dr. Bill Barnes are committed to the well-being of the student-athletes at Mount de Sales Academy. Should you have any questions, please feel free to call us at (478) 474-2114 or visit us at www.piedmontorthocomplex.com.
