The Mount de Sales wrestling team brought home another area title this weekend, winning the Area 2 Traditional Tournament, hosted by Strong Rock Christian Academy. The Cavaliers finished in style with a 70-point margin of victory over runner-up Strong Rock and a 140-point margin over other Macon-area schools to win the program’s second area title.

The team finished with six area champions and eleven tournament placers/state sectional qualifiers (the top 4 qualify). This is the program’s first traditional area title. Mount de Sales is the first team in the area to sweep both the Duals and Traditional Championships since 2015.

The qualifiers will compete Saturday, February 10 in the GHSA State Sectionals at FPD. The top 4 wrestlers there will advance to GHSA Traditional State Championships.
